Flowerpot Tablecloth

My grandma gave me this tablecloth. Usually when I see embroidered tablecloths, I think to myself “Wow, that is huge and way too much work!” But this one is bright and fun and uses 6 strands of floss, so something similar would work up quickly. I like it a lot, so I took lots of photos.

Wow I like that. Looks like it would be fast to whip up. Are the flower pots applique or cut out?

If you look closely at the edge of the flowerpot in the closeup, you can see there’s tiny white thread stitches attaching the flowerpot shape to the background.

Oh I see it now, thank you. Sorry Just did a quick glance. Those are some tiny stitches.

Oh how beautiful. Thanks for reminding me that I can embroider on any color fabric. I tend to get in a rut with those white/ivory/ecru backgrounds. This is very inspiring!!

Lovely, lovely, lovely! I see you’ve lots of treasures πŸ™‚
    Thanks a lot for sharing!

  5. Also remember that you don’t need to embroider the whole tablecloth – just a central section or an edge, to make it look pretty..!
