Merry Christmas!

Our family Christmas tree:

It’s ribbon embroidery on chicken wire. Ours is twenty four years old – we replace any faded ribbons every year.

I always wonder why more folks don’t have embroidered Christmas trees. It’s such a fun project, and they don’t take up much floor space. Plus they’re easy to store.

How wonderful! Do you roll it up to store it? As I am living in a travel trailer storage is an issue. Carrying Christmas decorations simply isn’t a high priority. But this sort of tree would take little space! I lead a craft group once a week where we are currently camping. This would make a nice project if we all brought different Xmas fabrics and ribbons to share and swap! Most of our guys would be more than happy to go to Lowes to pick up some chicken wire so they could be part of the project, too (thus be willing to help find storage space!)

    Hanna,
Great idea o f yours for those that lack storage space.
I was sent a site where they make Xmas trees to order by cross stitching the name of the recipient. It becomes a wall hanging, now that’s another idea for limited space.
