I’ve spent the last couple of weeks designing. Here is my first finished piece!
I love my little elephant (the circle is 4 inches/10.2 cm across). I’m turning him into the front cover of a scissors case/needle book. I’ve got another elephant in the works for the back. Look how glittery the Kreinik gold is! I’m so happy with how it turned out.
I’ve kept track of materials and stitches. At some point I’d like to turn him into a kit/instruction pack, but that will probably have to wait until this summer when I have more time.
Love the red feather in his trunk! And the vivid colors.
thanks!
I dont speak very well English. I live in Belgium. I read all post on your blog. It’s beautiful.
Many thinks for 2012
Thank you so much.
He is too cute and he has his trunk up for good luck.
🙂
This will be a great treat for elephant lovers. Good job!
Glad you like it!
Charming!
When I saw him, I said out loud “oh, that’s just lovely!”. I especially like the gold bands on his trunk! Really well done!
He’s looking great – an elephant of great charm!
He’s cute!.I like his trunk and the cap.
Gorgeous Hannah! I love the way you have worked the ear and trunk in (what looks like in the photo) chain stitch. The adornments are lovely and finely balanced and the simple colour scheme adds drama. Well done!
Thanks! Yes, it’s chain stitch. I wanted some variety in texture, and needed a stitch that took curves well.
He is indeed a very fine elephant – if, indeed, he is a he and not a she. If he is a she, then needs must she is a very beautiful elephant. I think she should be a she. Beautiful.
