Y’all, I finished another card! I usually avoid pastels, but this one is really pretty. It’s ThreadworX, the Teeka color. It’s the “February” card because it’s originally part of a twelve-month embroidery kit club from Nordic Needle.
Here is a work-in-progress shot:
I worked a border for this one in hem-stitching. I’m improving, but one of the corners had a little accident. I managed to stabilize it so it won’t unravel, but I might need to put a bead or a pin on top to cover it up.
If you take a look at the back, I think I could improve my technique for starting/ending threads for the hemstitching. Plus I need to get out the scissors and clip a few threads. But overall I am getting faster and faster!
Pretty ! I think the person who gets this card is really lucky!
🙂
Very pretty. I love some of those pastel variegated threads by Threadworx. Where did you get the card blank from – it’s rather special?
It came with the kit. They are Carol Wilson Fine Arts Cards (http://www.carolsrosegarden.com/index.php?p=catalog&parent=103&pg=1) and you can also order them through Nordic Needle (http://www.nordicneedle.com/ctgy/F18-00-00.html).
It’s really beautiful, your stitches look perfect to me
thank you!
Hemstitch grows really quickly once you get a rhythm going. It’s a great stitch!
It’s getting to be one of my favorites.
