Y’all, I just realized yesterday that the deadline for the 50th Annual Woodlawn Needlework Exhibition (in Alexandria, Virginia) is very, very soon! On the other hand, the bellpull is almost almost done! THEREFORE, I am frantically finishing the last few flowers and express mailing it tomorrow to my amazingly wonderful brother in the area, who has offered to take it to get it framed and entered in the show. Walk in entries are due Feb 9 and 10!
SOOOOO, are any of y’all in Virginia? Anybody know where I might be able to get a bell pull framed real real quick next week (much easier to mail with no frame)? It’ll be on display March 1 – 31st, so if you wanted to see it in person (along with a ton of other embroidery) that will be your chance. I might even visit!
Update: Contact has been made! Hurray for blogging!
Hannah, I hope you notice the pulled thread on the purple flower on the right before you mail it to your brother. Otherwise, the stitching is really nice. Good luck!
Aha! Thanks – it’s fixed now.
I like the multi coloured sea urchin things (not sure what flower they’re meant to be)
I’m not sure they are meant to be any specific flower, but I’d sure like to see a real one if they were
some sort of weird ranunculous?
Looking good – and I’m glad to know you’ve found someone to do the framing!
I love your works – they are like a far, fantastic world:)
thanks so much 🙂 I am so glad you like to visit.
