Chikankari class: Wave stitch

OK! Back to work on Anita’s chikankari class! I learned wave stitch (in the center of the heart). I also finished the buttonhole leaves with running stitch filling. I think the trickiest part is hiding the tails. Since the fabric isn’t opaque, I have to be extremely careful or they will show.

Your color choices are sublime. Mine has not see the light of day sitting in the UFO pile. But you inspire me!

Glad you like the colors. It’s been fun choosing them. The variegated thread really worked out well.

I am slowly digging through my own enormous UFO pile.
